CHICAGO — For those with a lifelong wish to actually drive the Wienermobile - your chance has now arrived.
Oscar Mayer announced Monday it is looking for 12 recent college graduates to go on a "road trip of a lifetime" in the famed hotdog-themed vehicle, "spreading miles of smiles to FRANK-atics on a coast-to-coast weenie roast."
"After 2020 left us all at home, now's the time to see America through the windshield over a hotdog dashboard!" writes the Chicago-based company, which used to have its corporate HQ in Madison.
If you think you can "cut the mustard" and work as a "Hotdogger," prospective candidates can apply online through Jan. 31, and UW students are asked to attend a virtual session on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 6:30 p.m.
The famed Wienermobile dates back to 1936, its drivers tasked with the mission of acting as spokespersons as they drive across the country promoting the classic Midwest brand.
