A 42-year-old Illinois woman has died after a motorcycle crash in which alcohol was involved Sunday night.
The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department says a 43-year-old Illinois man was driving the motorcycle in the 26800 block of Camp Lake Road about 8 p.m. when he failed to make a turn and crashed into the south ditch line.
He and the woman were both ejected from the bike and then transported to the hospital. The man is currently being treated for serious injuries while the woman died from her injuries in the hospital.
The sheriff's department says alcohol was a factor in the crash, and they are requesting charges of homicide by an intoxicated use of a motor vehicle against the driver.
The names of each individual are being withheld until further notice.
