Bartolotta Restaurants announced on Thursday it will continue its partnership with Milwaukee County to operate Northpoint Custard, set to open May 19.
Bartolotta Restaurants has managed the Lincoln Memorial Drive burger stand in the past, but its lease with Milwaukee County ended in 2018.
Milwaukee County filed a request for proposal (RFP) for operators to oversee the burger stand in January. No bids met the requirements in the RFP by its Feb. 13 deadline.
Bartolotta Restaurants did submit a bid, but did not originally meet the RFP's minimum annual rent provision of $60,000.
Per opening day tradition, the first 200 guests in line will receive a free hamburger.
Northpoint Custard as featured on the Food Network's "Seaside Snacks and Shacks" in 2017, so lines might be a little longer this year!
