UNION GROVE — On Friday, North Shore Bank in Union Grove was robbed after a man slipped a teller a note demanding money.

The Racine County Sheriff's Department responded to the bank Friday around 10:55 a.m. for a hold-up alarm. While deputies were in route, the Racine County Communication Center received a 911-call from a bank employee who stated they had just been robbed.

The employee described the suspect as a white male with a women's wig, blue jeans, and a dark-colored sweater. He never showed a weapon or implied that he had one.

After taking an undisclosed amount of money from the bank, the suspect fled on foot. Deputies and K9's searched the area but were unsuccessful in finding the suspect.

The Racine County Sheriff's Department stated that there is no current threat to the Union Grove area or the surrounding community.

This is an on-going investigation and anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information about this case is encouraged to contact Investigator Luell at (262) 886-8443.
