MILWAUKEE — A new spider exhibit at the Milwaukee Public Museum is a must see for spider-lovers.
"So we have 17 live species of arachnids from all around the world. Fourteen of those are spiders. We have three different other arachnid species like scorpions and whip scorpions," Jon Bertolas, a zoologist and person in charge of the new Spiders Alive exhibit at the Milwaukee Public Museum, said.
Creatures like the Whip Scorpion and Giant Birdeater are all on display until January 12th at the museum.

"It's not designed to scare. It's not designed in a way to frighten. It's designed to clear misconceptions," Bertolas said.
There are plenty of fun facts to learn about spiders at the new exhibit:
- Spiders in the exhibit are only fed once a week
- Venom is being studied to be used for medical purposes
- Spiders and Scorpions are related
