MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Lisa Neubauer is outpacing Brian Hagedorn in fundraising as the April 2 election nears.
Neubauer said Monday she has raised $860,000 over a six-week period that ended March 18. Hagedorn raised $747,000 over the same time period.
The winner will replace retiring Justice Shirley Abrahamson on the Supreme Court for a 10-year term. Neubauer has the backing of liberals, while Hagedorn has conservative support.
Neubauer has $615,000 cash on hand for the final push to the election compared with $376,000 for Hagedorn.
To date, Neubauer raised more than $1.7 million for the race compared with about $1.3 million for Hagedorn. Neubauer’s totals include $250,000 loan she made to her own campaign.
