A Milwaukee man is among the group of US Navy Aviation Electronics Technicians (ATs) who were awarded the Blue Angels Crest Friday, Feb. 16.
Training includes weeks of practicing procedures, teamwork and traditions in order to earn the honor at the Blue Angels Cresting Ceremony.
Samuel Purucker, an Aviation Electronics Technician 2nd Class (AW/SW) from Milwaukee, was presented with the crest during a Blue Angels cresting ceremony at the Naval Air Facility in El Centro, California.
The Blue Angels consist of many ranks of Navy and Marine Corps members. They fly old fighter aircraft and perform at shows throughout the summer months, including the Air and Water Shows in major cities.
