MPD searching for suspects in shooting on 5th St. in August

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police need your helping identifying three men they say are connected to a shooting last month.

The shooting in question happened in the 1700 block of North 5th Street around 12:25 a.m. on Aug. 2.

MPD says two suspects approached a victim's vehicle and fired several shots, hitting the people inside. The suspects then got into a vehicle driven by a third person and left, according to police.

  • The first suspect is described as having a thin build, medium complexion and having long dreads. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants. He was armed with a handgun, according to MPD.
  • The second suspect is described as having a stocky build and had a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored shorts. He was also armed with a handgun, MPD says.
  • The third suspect is described having a a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt.

A vehicle allegedly connected to the three suspects is described as a 2012-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV with a sunroof, black rims and dark tinted windows.
