MILWAUKEE — Police have identified the 66-year-old man who was hit and killed by a vehicle while sitting in the front yard of a home last Sunday night.
Robert S. Witherbee was sitting in the yard of a home in the area of S. 86th and Adler around 6 p.m. when a vehicle crashed into the building and struck Witherbee. The vehicle then drove off.
MPD also arrested the suspect, identified as a 37-year-old man from Milwaukee. The department says criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the upcoming days.
Officials with the Milwaukee Fire Department attempted life-saving measures on Witherbee, but were unsuccessful.
