Mountain Dew is looking to make up to a lost group of residents from Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
The popular soda brand accidentally snubbed the U.P. in its new "DEWnited States" ad, combining the portion of the state with Wisconsin.
The Upper Peninsula fired back in a tweet, reminding the company that it is not a part of the Badger State.
Dear @MountainDew,

I 👏 AM 👏 NOT 👏 WISCONSIN 👏
Fix this, or send a free case to all my residents. Your call.
Sincerely,

The limited-edition bottle series is intended to represent all 50 states, but the U.P. will get a special bottle of its own.
Hey, Upper Peninsula: we hear you, and we’re sorry for misplacing you on our #DEWnited map. Give us a chance to right our wrong. Help us fill this special edition label by telling us all of the things you love about the Upper Peninsula (note to self: located in MICHIGAN) pic.twitter.com/cSzJQYc2tl

Many Michigan residents chimed in with ideas on Twitter, saying the bottle should include photos of iconic U.P. landmarks.
Others suggested images of pasties, Northern Lights, snowmobiling and their culture be included on the bottle.
Fans can get a $100 prepaid gift card when they collect all 50 bottles. To earn the gift card, fans need to purchase specially marked DEWnited States products, visit Dewnited.com, enter the code, scan the label and get a $100 prepaid gift card.
