Milwaukee Sheriff's Office is alerting the public of a phone scam.
The Sheriff's Office says scammers are using the office's phone number to scare Milwaukee County residents.
Scammers have called citizens, telling them they have missed jury duty and a warrant has been issued for their arrest.
This is a reminder that the Sheriff's Office will never call or email citizens threatening to arrest them.
The Sheriff's Office advises if you receive a similar call to hang up immediately.
If you have fallen victim to the scam and have suffered money loss, report the call via email to Sheriff@milwaukeecountywi.gov, or by phone at 414-278-4705.
