MILWAUKEE COUNTY — Milwaukee County authorities are calling residents to be extra careful while driving, after slippery road conditions led to 39 crashes in the county on Thursday and Friday.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office says those crashes happened between Thursday at 6 a.m. and Friday at noon.
"We remind motorists to reduce your speed, turn on your headlights and wear your seat belts during inclement weather. Get to your destination safely!" MCSO posted to social media Friday afternoon.
Southeastern Wisconsin has been blanketed in fog and drenched in rain since Thursday morning, which has led to those dangerous driving conditions.
MCSO responded to 39 crashes between yesterday at 6:00 a.m. and Noon today due to wet and slippery road conditions. We remind motorists to reduce your speed, turn on your headlights and wear your seat belts during inclement weather. Get to your destination safely!
