Milwaukee police trying to identify man accused of punching police officer at 40th and Lloyd

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Police Department is asking for the public's help to find a man they say is wanted for punching a police officer.

According to police, the man "punched an officer with his fist causing pain." It happened last Tuesday evening at the scene of civil unrest and arson near 40th and Lloyd.

The man was wearing a black cap, a black Nike hooded sweatshirt, black shorts with a white outline on the bottom, and black flip flops, according to police.

If you have any information about this person's identity, officers ask you call Milwaukee Police at 414-935-7360 or Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS, where you can be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward.
