Milwaukee police seek suspects in weekend shootings

Milwaukee police are seeking the suspects in several non-fatal shootings that took place over the weekend.

The first incident involves a 25-year-old female who was shot after an argument with a man whom she shares a child with. This shooting took place Sunday about 11:12 a.m. in the 1200 block of Highland Avenue. The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. MPD is searching for the known male suspect in this case.

A 26-year-old man was also shot on Sunday in the 3300 block of W. Mt. Vernon Avenue about 10 p.m. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The investigation into this incident is ongoing, and police are seeking unknown suspects.

Lastly, a double non-fatal shooting took place early Monday morning about 12:36 a.m. in the 2200 block of W. Keefe Street. A 53-year-old man was sitting on the porch of the residence when someone fired multiple shots at him, ultimately hitting him. After this shooting, a 27-year-old man was brought to a local hospital with two gunshot wounds. He is not currently cooperating with police, and is in custody in relation to the shooting of the 53-year-old. MPD is still searching for unknown suspects in relation to this case.
