MILWAUKEE — Two Milwaukee police officers visited an 11-year-old in the hospital on Thursday as he battles a rare form of cancer.

The 11-year-old, Jack, has a rare form of cancer called Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). However, he has a dream of joining the police force and becoming a K9 officer.

Because of his dream, Jack has started collecting K9 dog stuffed animals. So, it wouldn't be a proper visit if the MPD officers didn't bring a new dog for Jack's collection.

And they did. In fact, that new stuffed animal turned out to be the largest one in Jack's collection.

Stay strong Jack! MPD said they hope to see you on the force one day.
