WILLARD, Mo. -- Investigators in a small city in Missouri concluded that a 37-year-old Milwaukee man was shot and killed by a homeowner after he allegedly tried to break into their house.
Citing the Greene County Sheriff's Office,KY-TV identifies Ryan Altman as the man who tried to break into a home in the 6300 block of West Hawthorn Court in the City of Willard, outside of Springfield, on Jan. 28.
When Altman gained unauthorized access to the home, the owner pulled out a gun and shot him, according to the sheriff's office.
Altman died from injuries. Authorities say the homeowner also suffered injuries during the incident.
Two other people in the home during the burglary were not injured.
