Milwaukee, WI - A Milwaukee man is recovering from serious injuries after being shot while driving early Monday morning near 27th and Wisconsin.

“It’s a shame all these shootings going on around these days,” Ronnie Wells said.

Ronnie Wells lives on MLK Drive but caught the bus near the shooting scene. He said all of the violence happening in Milwaukee and throughout the country scares him.

“You never know when you’re going to walk out and get shot, or jumped, or whatever. It’s a shame,” Wells said.

On the contrary, Cindy Klemp said this isn’t a bad area, but there are reckless people doing the wrong things.

“I look at neighborhoods being made up by the people that live there: grandparents, children, people just trying to make a living,” Klemp said.

The shooting victim was a 34-year-old man —he was taken to a hospital to be treated for his serious injuries.
