Friends of a Milwaukee man critically-injured in Thailand, are making a public plea for help.

Jamie Mills and a friend were struck by a van while vacationing in Bangkok.

Mills suffered two broken legs, a broken pelvis and a ruptured bladder. He has a very long road to recovery.

"We're doing everything we possibly can to get him home. We love him," said friend Alexander Mharcei.

Friends are working with the U.S. embassy there to get him help and a translator.

Those close to Mills are hoping to cover Mills' expenses through a GoFundMe.

"We have been blown away by the financial support and emotional support surrounding what's going on," said Mharcei.

So far over $27,000 have been raised of the $55,000 goal.

Friends are also in contact with charities and insurance companies to try and to get him transferred to a U.S. hospital.
