MILWAUKEE — A new study released by LendingTree found that in terms of recovering from a divorce, Milwaukee comes in second.
The study analyzed microdata from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey. The study looked at how adults, primarily ages 34 to 64, were doing financially in the country's 50 largest metropolitan areas.
Milwaukee came in second, after Minneapolis. According to LendingTree, New York City and Memphis, Tenn. were the worst cities in which to recover.
Along with analyzing the economical aspect of divorce, the study also analyzed "dating pool score" and "remarriage risk score."
The top five cities to recover from divorce was:
- Minneapolis
- Milwaukee
- Detroit
- Denver
- Pittsburgh
The worst five cities to recover from divorce was:
- New York City
- Memphis, Tenn.
- Virginia Beach, VA
- Raleigh, NC
- Charlotte, NC
