MILWAUKEE -- A popular Brady Street destination is turning 70. Glorioso's Italian Market packed events and promotions into a three-day celebration.
An anniversary wouldn't be complete without cake. Delicious marble cake is just one of the many ways Glorioso's is saying "thank you" to customers.
"As a family member, the old store and family business has always been the heartbeat of our family," General Manager Michael Glorioso says. "We all would gather around the store... the smells, being little and running around the store."
The cake, coffee, and Italian specialty foods make shopping an experience - not just an errand.
"It's delicious. I like all the samples because you can eat and shop at the same time," customer Irma Ferrari says.
Authenticity is one of the ingredients that make Glorioso's so tempting.
"The food is so good, too. Everything's excellent. All these goodies you don't find anyplace else," customer James Hackbarth says.
"I'm so proud of my family for all the hard work they did for so many years to establish the family name," Glorioso adds.
The samples continue Valentine's Day weekend. Saturday there's another treat: A four-piece Italian string quartet!
