MILWAUKEE — Three Milwaukee firefighters were injured while battling a fire at an apartment building near 91st and Hampton on Wednesday.
The fire occurred around 4 p.m. According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, two people were trapped on a balcony during the fire. Firefighters were able to rescue them. All other residents made it out safely.
Two residents were treated for medical conditions.
Of the three firefighters injured, one was transported with first and second-degree burns to his hand and face.
The building had 12 units.
