Brewers trade places with airline workers

Two Milwaukee Brewers pitchers traded places with some airline workers at General Mitchell International Airport.

Will Smith and Jeremy Jeffress tried unloading luggage off a flight, boarding passengers, and guiding a plane into its gate as part of Southwest Airlines’ All-Star Day.

Jeffress commended airline workers for doing a good job and also shared his favorite part of trading places.

“Hands down, directing the plane on the runway. That’s the best part with the glow sticks in your hands,” he said.

Smith joked that he won’t quit his day job.

As part of the trade-off, some lucky Southwest Airlines employees got to take Smith and Jeffress’ spots on the field. The employees played catch, ran the bases, and slid down Bernie’s slide.
