Rain in the forecast has car experts warning driving conditions will get tougher.

Bitter cold temperatures and weather-related accidents have already kept Milwaukee area towing companies and auto body shops busy.

24 Hour Towing and Recovery in Milwaukee said since Tuesday night, when temperatures began to plummet, they've had countless calls for cars not starting, tire changes, and cars in ditches.

After 12 years in the business, tow operator Michael Dube said this winter has been hard.

"Absolutely the coldest winter for me so the last few days have been a challenge for a lot of the guys at other companies out there," said Dube3.

Ryan Ringwelski, the manager at Milwaukee Auto Body, said business has been steady but with rain in the forecast following near record low temperatures and several inches of snow it is a recipe for car damage.

"If we get a little bit of rain it's going to make the snow wet and then if it gets cold again it'll freeze it up into like concrete. so if you're pulling into parking spaces and your bumper touches the snow no longer will you just got a little snow on your bumper now it's like concrete and it'll crack your bumper covers," said Ringwelski.
