The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner was called to the scene of a homicide Tuesday morning.
The medical examiner's office tweeted that homicide involved a woman near S. 31st and National Avenue.
Milwaukee police said a 27-year-old woman sustained a fatal gunshot wound and died at the scene. The shooting happened just before noon in the 700 block of S. 31st Street.
No other details were released.
