MILWAUKEE — Two bus drivers with the Milwaukee County Transit System are being credited with helping out lost children earlier this month.
In one incident, driver Cressida Neal was working the Red Line about 4:40 a.m. July 5 when she spotted a toddler alone near Capitol and Humboldt in Milwaukee.
The child was barefoot, scared and crying. It turns out he had wandered from his grandmother's house in the middle of the night.
Later that morning, MCTS driver Cecilia Nation-Gardner noticed a girl walking along Route 15 in Cudahy.
The girl, who was holding a blanket, was wearing pajamas and slippers.
