MILWAUKEE — Tom Barrett has defeated Lena Taylor in the race for Milwaukee Mayor.

This will be Barrett's fifth term in Milwaukee. He first took office in 2004 and was re-elected in 2008, 2012, 2016, and now 2020.

He ran for Governor against Scott Walker in both 2010 and 2012. However, Walker won both elections. He has also served on the Wisconsin State Assembly, district 14, and Wisconsin State Senate, district 5.

Barrett was raised in Milwaukee, and earned both his undergraduate and law degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
