MILWAUKEE — A man who was found frozen inside of an abandoned car near 13th and Burleigh has been identified.
Eric Anderson, 57, appeared to be homeless and had been missing for one month, according to a release by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office.
Anderson was found after children playing in the yard noticed him.
The children alerted their grandmother, who then called 911. When officers arrived, they learned that the man had been found sleeping in the car several times in the last two years and had been told not to sleep there.
When officers discovered the frozen man, he had been wearing several layers of clothing. However, the temperature at the time was 6 degrees. Investigators noted the victim's rear pockets had been frozen solid.
