Scene clear after Madison police investigate bomb threats at two 7-Elevens

MADISON — The Madison Police Department investigated two bomb threats near the UW-Madison campus Thursday afternoon, but the scene has since been cleared as safe.

One bomb threat was at the 7-Eleven at 673 State St. The second, at the 7-Eleven at 2201 S Park St.

For cautionary purposes, police blocked off traffic and evacuated buildings nearby.

Police asked people to avoid these areas while they investigate the threats.

The scenes have since been declared safe for people to return to.
