MILWAUKEE — Seventy-five years ago on Wednesday, World War II was officially ended.

Japan signed the official document on the USS Missouri in Tokyo while the ship was sitting in the Tokyo Bay.

The day is now known as V-J Day, and during a ceremony at the War Memorial Wednesday, a WWII veteran lead the prayer. The event also included a fly over by war planes. Pictures of those we lost were also hung in remembrance.
