Local ski resort, Little Switzerland, is getting ready for the winter season, despite the warmer weather this month.
The resort began testing their new snowmaking guns Friday night, in hopes to open some of their ski hills on Saturday.
Crews were able to make snow, but the weather did not cooperate to open for skiers and snowboarders. Little Switzerland says they gave it their best effort to open but will have to wait a little longer for colder temperatures.
The resort assumed the snow would melt fairly quickly, but says they needed to test their snow-making machines.
