MILWAUKEE — Lester Holt has postponed hosting 'NBC Nightly News' from Milwaukee until Oct. 26. The show was originally scheduled to take place in Milwaukee on Oct. 6.

The show is part of his "Across America" series where he will travel to battleground states like Florida, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania for live shows. Holt will attempt to gauge voters on crucial issues like the economy, health care, jobs, racial injustice and their state's response to COVID-19.

Holt is still scheduled to be live in Miami, Fla. on October 5 to moderate a town hall with Democratic Presidential nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Holt will host the one-hour primetime event from the Pérez Art Museum Miami beginning at 7 p.m. in front of an audience who will be given the opportunity to ask Biden questions on various topics. NBC News has also offered to host a similar town hall event with President Donald Trump.

The town hall event will also air across MSNBC, CNBC, NBC News NOW and will be available in Spanish on Telemundo’s digital platforms.
