Milwaukee County Sheriff Deputies went out on Sunday with the Department of Corrections on compliance checks at sex offenders homes.
Already 36 sex offenders have been arrested over the past three Fridays for failing to register. The sweep is part of the county's Halloween preparation and prevention operation.
The goal of the sweep is to take offenders who are not complying with regulations off the streets and away from trick-or-treating children in their neighborhoods.
People can check for sex offenders in their areas by going to the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry.
