WAUWATOSA, Wis. — Store and malls around the Milwaukee-area are packed with peoplefinishing up their holiday shopping.
"I'm very last minute. Wrapping it up now," said Natasha Smith as she looked for gifts with her father and daughter.
Others are just getting started.
"Work, work and more work. So I am running last minute," said Tamica Armour who was shopping with her mom.
A lot of people feel like Christmas came up fast. With Thanksgiving falling later this year there are only 26 days between Turkey day and Christmas. That is six days fewer than most years.
The National Retail Federation says as of Monday 15-percent of holiday shoppers are still trying to finish their list. When it comes to spending most of those shoppers, 27-percent, said they will spend $500 or more on holiday shopping. And it isn't just Christmas people are buying for. It is also the second night of Hanukkah.
So everyone is checking their lists twice to make sure they have everything.
"I'm done now. I got my final Christmas T-shirts and we are all good to go now," said Ricardo Smith.
