Five people shot at Racine's North Beach, police say

Racine police are saying that three of the five shooting victims were teenagers, while the other two were 18 and 20-years-old. The shooting, according to police, has no connection to recent protests.

Update Tuesday, 11:39 p.m. -- The Racine Police Department said that five people were shot at Racine's North Beach Tuesday evening. All five were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries and names has not been released.

Police are investigating a shooting at Racine's North Beach.

There has been a large police presence at the beach since about 7:45 Tuesday night.

TMJ4 News has a crew there and is working to learn more. They said police taped off a large part of the park and are sweeping the area.
