MILWAUKEE — Lakefront Brewery's fan favorite Beerline Barleywine was recognized as one of the best at the 2020 Good Food Awards.
The Good Food Awards selects about 200 companies each year that create vibrant, delicious and sustainable local food economies. This year, Lakefront Brewery was one of the 200.
Their Beerline Barleywine, a fan favorite, was selected as a winner. According to a press release, "the Rye Whiskey Barrel-Aged Beerline Barleywine has always been a fan favorite."
The craft beer is described as rich, malty and multi-layered with aromas of oak plank, vanilla, dark toffee and pipe tobacco.
“We’re thrilled to be named one of the best along with so many other fantastic companies and products," said Russ Klisch, owner and co-founder of Lakefront Brewery.
According to the release, Good Food Awards "host an annual awards ceremony and marketplace in San Francisco to honor the Good Food Award recipients who push their industries towards craftsmanship and sustainability while enhancing their agricultural landscape and building strong communities."
