MADISON — A new 30-second commercial, titled "Lucky Dog," will air during the second quarter of Super Bowl LIV.

The ad follows Scout's journey with cancer and how the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine was able to provide the golden retriever with treatment.

The commercial was paid for by WeatherTech, manufacturer of automotive accessories and home and pet care products. Founder and CEO of WeatherTech, David MacNeil, has Scout as a member of his family.

MacNeil brought Scout to the vet school in hopes of curing the dog's canine cancer. The commercial is a "thank you" from MacNeil for the treatment Scout received.
