The Kris Zocco murder trial could go to the jury as early as Friday.

He is accused of killing 27-year-old Kelly Dwyer in 2013 and decided he would not take the stand Thursday in his defense.

Zocco's mother, Joyce Frye, did take the stand. Her home was reportedly where Zocco allegedly dropped off Dwyer's body in a golf bag before hiding the body.

Frye said she did not think anything of the bag as Zocco dropped things off very often. Fyre also did not know Dwyer at that time.

Zocco began the day facing three felony charges in connection to Dwyer's death after a witness intimidation charge saying he was accused of offering money to put a hit on a key witness in the case was dropped.

Closing arguments are scheduled to begin Friday as well.
