KENOSHA — A 40-year-old Kenosha woman was found deceased on Sunday after she was reported missing three weeks before.
The Kenosha Police Department says Gia M. Martin was reported missing on Jan. 26. At the time, officers had little information to work off of, police say.
The following day, the case was assigned to the department's detective bureau, but the investigation did not find any leads regarding Martin's whereabouts.
Then almost three weeks later, on Feb. 14, Martin was found dead. The police department has since launched a death investigation. There is no danger to the public, KPD says.
