KENOSHA — A Kenosha County man charged with homicide is now facing another charge for allegedly beating a fellow inmate, a week before he is set to go to trial.
Martice Fuller, 17, is accused of killing 15-year-old Kaylie Juga and shooting her mother in May of 2019. Fuller was charged as an adult for first-degree intentional homicide, attempted first-degree intentional homicide and armed burglary. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
On Tuesday, Fuller was charged with an additional battery by prisoners - party to a crime. A criminal complaint states that Fuller and three other inmates assaulted another inmate at Kenosha County Jail.
Prosecutors allege that the victim was sitting in his cell when the suspects entered and Fuller said that "he wanted this one." The victim told investigators he interpreted that as Fuller wanting to fight him. The victim responded he didn't want to fight, the complaint states.
The suspects left the cell, when a jail guard passed, but shortly returned, and Fuller allegedly punched the victim in the head. The other three suspects joined in hitting the victim, according to the complaint.
Prosecutors say that surveillance video confirms the suspects' movements in and out of the victim's cell.
Fuller is scheduled to be back in Kenosha County Court on Nov. 6 for the beginning of his jury trial.
