MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Medical Examiner's Office confirms the death toll in a destructive crash at 27th and Locust Thursday evening has now claimed three lives.

According to the initial report from the office, 18-year-old Ansha Young-Daugherty, and 23-year-old Danielle Turner were killed in the crash. Twenty-year-old Tatiana M. Dean was critically injured and sent for treatment at Froedtert Hospital.

The office tells TMJ4 News Friday evening that a 20-year-old woman has since passed away from injuries sustained in the crash. The office did not confirm it was Dean.

The report from the MCMO states that a 2012 black Kia Optima was speeding northbound on 27th Street Thursday evening - racing a BMW, according to police - when it struck a 2007 black Mazda heading westbound on Locust.

The impact of the collision caused both vehicles to rotate several times before coming to a rest, according to the office. The two women confirmed as deceased in the report were of four occupants in the Mazda. The 20-year-old woman was also in this vehicle, as well as a driver, who suffered from minor injuries.

Police say the BMW fled the scene following the crash.

A 37-year-old Milwaukee man is in custody related to the crash, according to an earlier report from police.
