WAUKESHA — Take a trip down memory lane by going to the Picky Picky Collectible, Buy, Sell, and Trade shop in downtown Waukesha.

"We have something for everyone," co-owner Joey Gudegeon said.

If you name it, they probably have it. Over the six years the store has been open on Waukesha's Main Street, they have sold cars, Rolex's, old soda machines, sports memorabilia, war relics, video game consoles, vintage beer collectibles, and anything else you could think of.

"There's a lot of things in here that you’ll be surprised to see," Gudegeon said.

The store doubles as a pop culture exhibit.

"There's a museum effect that you have here," he said.

While the co-owners are businessmen first, they double as historians preserving items to give them a second life. Many of their customers are older and come in to buy that toy or game they never could get their hands on as a child.

"You get reacquainted with your past when you look at things."

Surprisingly, people don't just come for the trip down memory lane, either. Many have shopped their shelves for everyday appliances too. It's a case of big department stores versus locally owned small businesses.

"People appreciate the hands-on sincerity of selling something."

It's a buy and trade shop too. There is an organized chaos about the store. It's filled wall-to-wall with unique items with just enough space to navigate through the shop.
