BROOKFIELD — Food Network star and restauranteur Guy Fieri's Flavortown Kitchen has opened a "ghost kitchen" location in Brookfield, serving up his signature American eats via delivery.
The ghost kitchen concept means there is no dine-in service. Such businesses usually operate out of commercial kitchens that customers never see. The model has proved especially popular under the safety restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic.
Brookfield's Flavortown Kitchen is now up and running out of Brookfield Square. Its website states they are open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; and 7 to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
Its menu includes Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ wings, Jalapeño Pig Poppers, Bacon Mac N' Cheese Burger and S-M-Cheesesteak Egg Rolls. Many of the items include Fieri's most famous ingredient: "donkey sauce," which is a blend of garlic, mayonnaise, mustard, Worcestershire, salt and pepper.
