IKEA announced Wednesday that Pepper Construction has been hired to develop the future store in Oak Creek. The groundbreaking is set for this summer.
Pepper Construction has constructed several IKEA stores, as well as the stores that are currently in progress in Columbus, Ohio and Fishers, Ind.
The 291,000 square foot store will be built at the corner of Interstate 94 and Drexel Avenue, and will accommodate about 1,000 parking spots.
The Swedish retailer says the Oak Creek location is still on track for a summer 2018 opening.
