A McDonald’s employee is accused of stealing money from a Greenfield restaurant by issuing refunds and pocketing the cash.
According to court documents, Mary Ruelle of Milwaukee, has been charged with theft for stealing more than $3,800. The restaurant manager said in the documents that surveillance video shows Ruelle issuing refunds and taking money from the register while no customer is at the counter.
He said to do so, the employee must have a manager's code.
Ruelle would have had to use items sold that day in order to get a refund, and the documents said she would choose meals that had the highest dollar value: Big Macs.
