WHITEFISH BAY — The Great Pumpkin Festival in Whitefish Bay is a go this season, with the proper safety precautions in place, of course.
The Whitefish Bay Civil Foundation, the organizer, announced that the popular festival will be held from Oct. 28 to 31, 2020 at the Old School House Park at 5240 N. Marlborough. All pumpkins will be lit 6 until 9 p.m. on those days.
The festival is known for its public display of lit, carved pumpkins made by members of the community.
If you want to carve your own and display it at the festival: the pumpkin pick-up and drop-off location is on North Idlewild Avenue, open from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. daily.
"We welcome you to walk through the park and enjoy the pumpkins and decorations. We encourage you to practice good habits by wearing a mask and keeping your distance from others," according to the Whitefish Bay Civil Foundation.
"Please note: To provide a safe event for all, this year there will be no carving of pumpkins on-site, no music and no food and beverage. (We know! We’re bummed, too!) Thanks for helping us safely celebrate, Whitefish Bay!" according to the foundation.
