Say goodbye to summer - more than 2,000 freshman students started to move into Marquette University Thursday.

Students and their parents spent the day unpacking cars and moving into dorm rooms. Carts outside of McCormick Hall were filled with everything from clothes to books to giant lamps.

"I had too much clothes. I had to cut it down. My mom and older brothers said I had to take out clothes that I probably would never wear," said Chase Bolan.

Bolan is a freshman at Marquette University. He just moved up from Illinois. The university said about 42 percent of the freshman class this year is from the Land of Lincoln.

This is scheduled to be the last class to move into McCormick Hall. It opened in 1968 and is scheduled to be demolished in the next couple of years.
