Four suspects arrested following shots fired in the air, MPD says

MILWAUKEE — Four suspects have been arrested after police said they were firing shots in the air Tuesday night. A fifth suspect shot at the police but fled the scene, officials said.

Around 9:13 p.m., police responded to a report of shots fired in the 2000 block of West Center Street.

According to a press release, police heard shots being fire in the air upon arrival. One suspect fired at police and an officer returned fire. No injuries have been reported yet. The suspect who is believed to have shot at police fled and has not been arrested.

According to Milwaukee police, several guns were recovered at the scene as well as 60 casings.

The four other suspects were arrested in connection to the shots fired, officials said. The suspects were two 41-year-old men, a 49-year-old man, and a 34-year-old man.
