RACINE — The Racine County Sheriff's Office (RCSO) were dispatched on Saturday to a crash on I-94 that involved a car and a semi.
Just before 8:30 p.m. on November 7, the RCSO received a call that stated a "vehicle was on it's side and a semi is running over it" near STH 11 northbound. Deputies found a tractor trailer pinning a badly damaged Jeep Liberty against the wall of the interstate.
Tina McLain, 47 of Sheboygan, was the driver of the Jeep and was extricated from the Jeep and taken via flight for life to a local hospital. Further investigation revealed that McLain struck a construction trailer with an electronic sign board which caused her car to roll onto its passenger side, slide into traffic and then crash with a tractor trailer. Both drivers suffered minor injuries.
McLain was issued multiple citations, including OWI first offense causing injury.
