BROOKFIELD, Wis. — Fire crews responded to a report of a fire at Brookfield Square Mall Thursday, Dec. 17.
At approximately 7:33 p.m., the Waukesha County 911 Communications Center received a call from a security guard reporting the fire.
Upon arrival, crews reported light smoke in a back hallway and activation of the sprinkler system, according to the Brookfield Fire Department.
The fire was contained and extinguished by the sprinklers.
The fire is under investigation, a there is no damage estimate for the mall at this time.
