Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened inside a business near 46th and Burleigh just after midnight. A 42-year-old man was shot and killed at the scene.

Police said it started with an argument inside a neighborhood pub.

“Burleigh is a very dangerous street to be on, there’s a lot of violence here,” Kimberly Bell, a neighbor, said.

That argument ended in deadly violence mere steps away from where Kimberly Bell worships.

“It’s supposed to be a surprise, but now lately it’s not a surprise anymore it’s just a tragedy and very sad. That’s not the first time that someone’s got shot in this area because of that bar,” Bell said.

Nearly four years ago, a man was shot and killed outside Waz's Pub and Grill. Overnight a similar scenario played out, only this time it happened inside. Police say a 42-year-old man was shot and killed just after midnight.

Johnathan Leflore, who also attends church in the area, said this news makes him sad.

“It makes me feel very emotional and sad that people would go that low to kill somebody across the street from a church,” Leflore said.

We tried to speak with the bar owner, but the doors were locked and no one was inside. Right now police are still looking for the person who pulled the trigger.
